Position: Production Assistant
Position summary: The Production Assistant has the primary responsibility to assist in preparation of wholesale orders of coffee, tea and related products.

General Prerequisites
Experience in a production environment preferred
Current Texas Food Handlers Certification
High School Diploma or Equivalent
Duties and Responsibilities
● Help foster a positive work environment of outstanding teamwork, mutual respect, and exceptional morale
● Responsible for proper opening and closing procedures of the clean room
● Prioritizing and completing orders in queue and marking them on the board to ensure that orders get completed in a timely manner. (e.g. pick-up, delivery and shipping)
● Weigh and grind bulk roasted coffee accurately
● Package, seal, and label wholesale and retail coffee correctly
● Ensuring that the handling of organic and non-organic coffee meets the standards of the Texas Department of Agricultural.
● Ability to visually examine products for quality and freshness and to check signage and labeling for accuracy.
● Maintain a clean and safe work area, to ensure that proper health/safety regulations are met and in compliance with HACCP/FSMA regulations.

Physical Demands
● This position requires standing and moving for long periods of time
● Ability to stoop, kneel, bend, reach overhead, climb
● Heavy lifting of 50 lbs. or more
